If you are looking for a clean, convenient and affordable place to stay on the windward east side of the island you may need to look no further.
Kipuka House Studio available in a one year-old home located in the Puna Palisades right off of the Red Road, an island treasure. A short ten-minute walk will take you to Kehena Beach, this side of the island's beautiful black sand beach, where it is quite common to swim with the dolphins and watch wales, and even find community drum circles on Sundays.
Located twelve miles from the very funky old-style town of Pahoa, which sports some excellent eats, from Thai, Italian, Mexican all the way to a Newly-opened raw food restaurant. There is a Yoga Centre, Natural foods store, as well as other shops to explore.
On the way to Pahoa or on the way back, stop by the steam vents, a place were steam naturally occurs from the heat and moisture of the lava tubes. From an enclosed cave to smaller places you can climb into and have a great sweat/steam. The hot ponds, naturally hot ocean ponds that heat up in a similar way to the steam vents are close by in Kapoho, also an excellent place to do some snorkeling.
We are located near Kalapana, which seems to be known as the sunny spot on this side of the island, as it is very common to be sunny here while it is raining everywhere else. A very magical area, with a kings trail, and trails to walk along the coast line. We are about five minutes away from Kalani, a place that offers yoga, and massage and has a great kitchen if you are interested in eating out close by.
The studio has its own private entrance and kitchenette, with refrigerator, stove, oven and microwave. Full bathroom with bathtub, towels linens, quality king-sized sleeping, hot tub outside your door overlooking the garden, private phone line for local calls, satellite TV, slate floors and granite counter tops, and very temperate evenings with good sized windows.
Enjoy the island diversity with its rare plant and animal life, micro climates, snow covered peaks and lush tropical rainforest Come enjoy you stay, watch sunrises over the ocean, and see the glow of the volcano at night on clear spectacular star filled nights. |
